Position Summary
The Bike Courier is responsible for handling the collection and dispatch of documents according to pre-defined rules and regulations in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibility Description
Customer Support and Service
- Follows appropriate service etiquette (greeting and welcome, tone of voice) to support and provide service to customers
- Provides assistance to customers in ensuring that all air waybill information is duly filled with as per requirements
- Manages difficult customer situations, responding promptly to the needs of the customers; identifies and escalates issues as and when required
- Provides required guidance and information to customers using the available resources.
Consignment Handling
- Ensure timely collections and Pick Ups at the specific Client location
- Obtain signatures and payments or arrange for recipient to make payments
- Coordinate with dispatch for delivery
- Detect and report missing, incorrect paperwork, undeliverable consignment
- Coordinate with Operations for timely pick- up and delivery of shipments
- Track Collections against pick ups
- Ensure all deliveries are as per the delivery schedules
- Ensure all assignments are taken care of in a prompt and safe manner
- Obtain signatures and payments, or arrange for recipients to make
- Escalates all issues unresolved or difficult to handle to the Supervisor
Company Vehicle Maintenance
- Drive with RTA regulations and follow established traffic and transportation procedures to avoid Fines and damage to the bike
- Ensure that daily/ weekly checks of all vehicles of Zajel are performed correctly and to report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
- Coordinate all repairs of the vehicle to designated workshop and ensure the vehicle is back in good condition
- Ensure all renewals pertaining to the Vehicle like insurance, registration, fuel card etc are completed in a timely mannerUpdates his/her own attendance records in a timely and accurate manner.

Handling Escalations
- Responsible for escalating issues and ensuring that issue gets resolved at their level.
Maintains Customer Information Confidentiality
- Ensures customer information security by adhering to strict guidelines for collecting, processing, and recording information collected from the customer in the course of routine operations
Self-Development
- Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency in all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees with the manager to ensure that the required training courses are arranged and attended.
- Sets the performance goals in the beginning of the year after discussion with the manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.

MIS and Reports
- Prepare timely and accurate MIS statements and reports as required.

- Ensures compliance with all relevant quality management procedures and controls to guarantee compliance and delivery of high-quality service.

Academic/ Vocational Qualifications
- High School Graduate / Diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience
